All levels welcome! The workshop will be led in English & Arabic. 

In this workshop, you will learn to make friends with your body and to use movement as a tool for self-discovery and a tool for creative exploration. The goal of the workshop is to get you started on your own journey of daily self-practice with your body by working out together your intentions, your Why for being here and for doing this.

Do you want to connect with your body for personal well-being? Or do you want a deeper creative relationship with yourself where movement can support you in your creative output? These are the questions we will be asking ourselves as we move. We will start very slowly getting to know our body and the different systems in our body. We will learn to visualize elements and reflect on how they feel. We will explore the relationship of our body to gravity and space until we eventually put all the information together and embark on our first conscious movement journey together at the end of the workshop.

About Shireen:

Shireen Talhouni is a Jordanian Circassian choreographer and movement instructor based in Amman. She is a graduate of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the founder of the dance training and research platform, Contemporary Amman.
